A.) What is the background of DWC Inc., the Diamond Wholesale Corporation?
The Diamond Wholesale Corporation sells Diamonds to Diamond Dealers, Jewelry Designers and Jewelry Stores in Canada, the United States and Germany. Formerly known as “TransGlobal Diamonds Co.” The company was situated in Israel and relocated to Canada 1999, and incorporated under it’s new name DWC – Diamond Wholesale Corporation. The company’s president, Patrick J. Boening, has been in the diamond trade since the early 1980′s with extensive knowledge of diamonds and diamond jewelry from the very rough, to the fine finished product. Today DWC Inc. concentrates on the wholesale of diamonds in North America, and Europe.
B.) Why should I buy from you?
Price, Service, Selection and Speed are the main factors for our clients. We do not keep a large inventory. This is one way to keep the mark up low, so that we do not have any interest to push you towards a particular diamond in our safes. We have inventory around the world. If a company keeps a large inventory, they have to sell you from that inventory, and this is not necessarily what you really want. A jewelry store has one or two suppliers, and you could choose only from their very limited inventory. They will push you always to what they have, rather than give you the opportunity to see what is available. We negotiate with the manufacturer the best price for you. No Shop or Diamond Merchant will (can) do that. We don’t have to charge for an expensive location in an expensive area. We will not charge for millions of dollars that we invested in our stock. We will not charge for staff expenses. Our staff gets paid only, if they close a deal. This is the reason we can give you the best diamond prices in North America. And last but not least: 25 years of experience and product knowledge.
C.) Why should I buy an unset Diamond, rather than a finished product?
If the diamond is 0.50 carat and larger, you most probably invest in the diamond and not in the ring, earring etc. The price for the setting is not relevant in comparison to the stone. You want the best stone possible for your money. How can you check that out? By having the diamond examined by an independent gemologist, looking at the stone from all sides and through all facets. It is quite easy to hide inclusions etc. in the setting. By the way, never consult an appraiser (Gemologist) that was recommended to you, by the company you purchase the diamond from. Always choose yourself! After the diamond is examined and verified, any jeweler or designer, will be more than happy to set the stone in a setting of your choice, or produce a custom made piece.
D.) How can I trust you?
Most clients are concerned with the TRUST-QUESTION, the first time they buy such expensive items over the Net. How can you check out a company? 1.) Make sure the firm is a member of the BBB, the Better Business Bureau and in good standing. 2.) Make sure you have the Bank-Details, so your Banker can check the reliability of the firm. 3.) Make sure you have the mailing address and phone number of the Firm. (Never trust a company that will not publish their Phone Number, Address, Fax etc. on there web site.) 4.) Make sure you have a full money back guarantee, no questions asked! 5.) Always have the diamond examined and compared with the original certificate by an independent Appraiser (Gemologist), not a Jeweler. (You will find independent Gemologists and Appraisers in the yellow pages.) Should you still have doubts, make sure the firm is a member in good standing in at least one of the known Trade Networks. (Polygon, Rapaport). If you follow these rules, you and your purchase, will be fine.
E.) How do I pay for the Diamond(s)?
All prices are based on BANK WIRE. This is another way we keep costs down. Once we send you the wiring instructions, print out the document and take it to your Bank for processing. Keep the receipt and inform us immediately once the transaction is done. We will than inform our bank to look out for that sum, so the delivery will not be delayed. Toll Free, call 1-800-399-5358. F.) How much do you charge for shipping, handling and insurance?
NOTHING, it is all paid for by the Diamond Wholesale Corporation, as long as we can ship within the United States of America. (For all other countries please refer to article L)
G.) How will I get the Diamond and when?
Once payment has been received, we will ship out the diamond and the original certificate. We ship overnight by Federal Express or UPS. We attempt a 24 to 48 hour delivery service, however, we do not ship on weekends and holidays due to security reasons.
H.) Do you charge Taxes of any kind?
As long as we ship the merchandise to any destination in the U.S. you will never pay any kind of taxes or other duties!
I.) How can I be sure, I got what I ordered?
As mentioned in article D, we advise all our clients to take the diamond and the certificate to an independent Gemologist/Appraiser. He/She will examine the diamond and verify the quality etc. (You don’t need a written appraisal and pay for that, DWC Inc. will issue an INTERNATIONAL APPRAISAL for insurance purposes, free of charge, mailed to you 7 days after you receive your diamond.
J.) What is your return policy?
The Diamond Wholesale Corporation offers you a 7 Day Full Money Back Guarantee, starting the day you receive the item. This will give you enough time to have the merchandise examined by a professional of your choice.
K.) Are there any additional costs?
NO, the price you see, is the price you pay. Unless, you should decide to add a setting.
L.) Do you ship outside of the U.S.
Yes, we ship around the globe. If we ship outside of the United States, we charge a nominal fee for insurance and delivery. The client is responsible for any duty, the destination country may charge. (VAT., Import Duty etc.) Please ask the authorities in your country, before you order.
M.) Where do you get your Diamonds?
We deal with the 3 major Diamond Centers in the World. New York, Antwerp and Tel Aviv. All our suppliers are certified manufacturers and dealers, members of the diamond exchanges and very well known in the trade. The roots of the diamonds are openly shown and that is why we can assure you, we do not sell conflict diamonds.
N.) Returns
We offer a 100% money back guarantee on all diamonds. Custom settings cannot be returned for a refund. You have 7 days; starting the day you receive the diamond, to return it for a full refund less shipping charges. Please call 1-800-399-5358 for return instructions. Customer is responsible for insurance and shipping charges on any return. All returns must be received in original condition. If the original certificate was sent with the diamond, it must be returned together with the diamond, otherwise DWC Inc. will charge a fee to replace the document.
DWC Inc. recommends: Ask the Appraiser (Gemologist) and afterwards also the jeweler, to be present when your diamond is examined and/or set!
